Enhancing user experience with editing tools, restyle and expand options

Meta-owned WhatsApp, the world’s most popular and widely used instant messaging platform, is always in continuous development. The messaging platform continues to add new features and improve the user experience to provide its users with new and intuitive ways to connect and communicate with people.

Continuing its efforts to enhance user experience, recently , AI-related updates, such as stickers and chatbots, have been introduced in beta versions by WhatsApp though not yet universally available.

In September, Android Police reported the addition of AI-powered image editing tools to the beta versions.

In the latest beta release for Android (v2.24.7.13), WhatsApp has unveiled Backdrop, Restyle, and Expand options within the photo editor window, as reported by Android Police/WABetaInfo. These features will appear when users post a status update or share an image.

A new sparkle icon now joins the existing basic editing options on the top row. Upon tapping the icon, users can access three options: Backdrop, Restyle, and Expand. Backdrop allows users to change the background by adding text, while Restyle enables overall image adjustments, and Expand facilitates enlarging the image.

However, since these features are not officially available to all users, their final appearance and release date remain uncertain.
