Famous Pakistani actress Zoya Nasir has expressed that social media influencers are corrupting the minds of the younger generation.
Zoya Nasir, who is also a makeup artist and has been an influencer herself, shared her views openly on a podcast about how influencers present a lifestyle to young people that isn’t real.
In response to a question, she said that media influencers lie about their lives and influence young girls negatively. They shouldn’t do this because it’s leading to mental disturbance among girls today, pushing them toward depression.
The actress further added that these influencers are causing stress among the youth by showcasing a fake lifestyle, as they’re only interested in gaining views and likes.
She advised social media influencers to try to work closer to reality.
Zoya Nasir also acknowledged that it’s up to the viewer to choose whether or not to watch, but in her opinion, whenever an influential personality creates something, it should be truthful to ensure that it doesn’t negatively affect the mental health and lives of their followers.
