The government plans to introduce 350 technology centers in schools across Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed this initiative to position Pakistan as a global IT hub. Part of the Emerging Technology Education initiative, the project aims to equip students with advanced skills in virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and data analytics.
These centers aim to prepare students for the rapidly evolving digital landscape they will face.
According to the Ministry, these centers are strategically intended to enhance Pakistan’s IT exports and capabilities.
