Ax-3 Mission Successfully Reaches ISS With all-European Astronauts Axiom Mission 3 (Ax-3) has successfully reached at the International Space Station on 20th January.

On 18th January, A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket took off carrying a group of European Astronauts, including the first person from Turkey and three from the ESA, from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

The NASA, Axiom Space, and SpaceX teams are now conducting integrated operations which begins during the spacecraft’s approach to the International Space Station.

NASA maintains mission responsibility during integrated operations, which continues during the crew’s stay aboard the orbiting laboratory conducting science, education, and commercial activities, and concludes once Dragon exits the area of the space station.

Axiom Space Mission 3 is the third mission with an entirely private crew to visit the orbiting laboratory, where the astronauts will spend around 14 days aboard the ISS to carry out as many as 30 experiments, working alongside the seven astronauts who are already there at the ISS. “This year will look much better,” Josef Aschbacher, Director General, European Space Agency, said last week at an annual press briefing. The ESA also recently announced a new budget of €7.8bn — the largest amount ever dedicated to European space exploration.
