Get Ready, Gen Z! WWE and Netflix are Teaming Up to Bring the Heat!

-

Ever wanted to watch WWE’s Raw live, right from your couch? Now you can! Starting this Monday, Netflix is going all in on wrestling by streaming WWE’s flagship show Raw live, marking a major shift from TV to your streaming platform. With a massive $5 billion deal in place, this move promises to bring the world of WWE to your fingertips.

Get ready for a whole new level of drama, action, and iconic superstars like John Cena and Roman Reigns—all streamed directly to your screen, every Monday, worldwide!

Netflix and WWE have partnered to bring Raw to the global stage with their first-ever live streaming event starting January 8, 2025. For over three decades, Raw has been a staple on U.S. television, but WWE is now shifting gears, moving its flagship show from Comcast’s USA Network to Netflix. With over 1 billion followers on social media, WWE has a dedicated multi-generational fanbase that spans across cultures and ages, making this streaming deal a perfect match.

WWE President Nick Khan highlighted the potential of this collaboration, saying, “When you look at Netflix and its global reach and the power of its brand, it was time that our brand met up with theirs.” With a $5 billion investment, Netflix will be streaming Raw, Smackdown, and Wrestlemania over the next 10 years. This is Netflix’s big move into live programming—a space that’s gaining massive traction and appeal with advertisers.

The streaming service is stepping up its live events game after previous successful shows, such as the 65 million concurrent streams for the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul boxing match in November. And, with more than 30 million viewers per game for the NFL broadcasts last Christmas, Netflix is refining its tech to ensure smooth streaming of the high-energy action.

Expect more than just an American show—Netflix’s expansion of Raw and Smackdown into international markets aims to bring a global fanbase, including fans in India, where it will launch in April 2025. WWE is also focused on finding superstars around the world, reaching far beyond its traditional U.S. roots. As WWE chief content officer Paul Levesque says, “We have to be boots on the ground.”

So, clear your schedule—Raw is streaming live every Monday, 52 weeks a year, and it’s going to be bigger, better, and more accessible than ever. From iconic wrestlers like John Cena to new faces, the action will be more intense than ever before. With Netflix now in the ring, the future of WWE’s global takeover has just begun!
