Pakistani all-rounder Shadab Khan has made a strong comeback in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2024, taking four wickets in two consecutive matches.
After a challenging T20 World Cup 2024, where he struggled to take any wickets, Shadab has now found his form, including a hat-trick in his debut LPL 2024 match. This achievement makes him the second bowler in LPL history, after Wanindu Hasaranga, to take a hat-trick.
Playing for Colombo Strikers, Shadab also contributed with the bat, scoring 20 runs off 17 balls, helping his team set a total of 198.
The Strikers secured a 51-run victory against the Falcons, with Shadab being named Player of the Match for his impressive bowling figures of 4 for 22 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy, Sri Lanka.
In the following match, Shadab continued his excellent performance by taking four wickets for 21 runs, although the Strikers narrowly lost to the Galle Marvels by seven runs. Despite the defeat, Shadab’s consecutive four-wicket hauls have highlighted his regained form and significant impact in the tournament.
