Pakistan’s Unsung Martial Arts Hero Holds the Most World Records in the Nation’s History — Without Government Support

Rashid Naseem’s nunchaku world record has remained unbeaten for 10 years. Guinness World Records has congratulated him and even uploaded a video on its official Facebook page, placing the achievement in its “All-Time Great – Best of the Best” category.

Rashid Naseem holds the global distinction of making the highest number of world records in the nunchaku category. According to details, he broke 158 clay targets in one minute using nunchaku — smashing the previous record of 102 targets set by Samuel Sprague from the USA.

This record was also featured in Guinness World Records’ special promotional video marking its 70th anniversary. The clip has been viewed over 80 million times on Facebook.

Rashid set this milestone during a TV show in Italy, where he also used nunchaku to skillfully pull out 23 playing cards placed between two bottles. Over the years, he has repeatedly beaten competitors from China, taken records away from India, and defeated martial arts masters from the USA and the UK.

He also holds the record for hitting a target 350 times in one minute with nunchaku, opening 10 bottle caps in record time, breaking 10 tiles in a single strike, completing 191 figure-of-eight moves in one minute, and executing 114 triangle steps in one minute — all with nunchaku. These achievements keep Pakistan at the top in multiple martial arts world record categories.
