Pakistan’s women stars—Ayesha Mumtaz (48 kg), Maria (50 kg), and Malaika (54 kg)—also reached the semi-finals, ensuring bronze medals. A win in the next round could earn them silver or even gold.
Meanwhile, Hazifa Raheel and Zamir Ali advanced to the quarter-finals, keeping Pakistan’s medal hopes alive.
On the other hand, Afra Khurram, Fatima Zahra, Sahar Atif, Muhammad Faheem, and Mazhar Ghafor were eliminated in the early rounds.
