Pakistan’s U-16 volleyball team pulled off one of the most electrifying comebacks in Asian volleyball history, dethroning defending champions Iran to lift the Asian U-16 Championship trophy in Thailand.
Down by two sets, the young Green Shirts flipped the script with nerves of steel, clinching a 3–2 victory in a nail-biting final. The set scores told the tale: 22–25, 21–25, 30–28, 25–21, 15–10—a comeback for the ages!
Junaid powered the attack with 28 points, while Faizan hammered in 22, with support from Talha (9 points) and Muhammad Irfan (8 points).
Pakistan didn’t just beat Iran—they crushed India earlier in the tournament to book their place in the final. The team finished the campaign undefeated, stamping their authority on Asian junior volleyball.
The champions returned home to a hero’s welcome at Lahore airport, where fans erupted in cheers, showered the players with garlands, and chanted “Pakistan Zindabad” as the team walked through arrivals.
This victory isn’t just a medal—it’s a statement. Pakistan’s next volleyball generation has arrived, and they’re here to dominate.
