Iconic Cricketers Named as Mentors for Champions Cup Teams

-

In a thrilling development for Pakistani cricket, five iconic cricketers have been appointed as mentors for the forthcoming Champions Cup teams.

Misbah-ul-Haq, Saqlain Mushtaq, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shoaib Malik, and Waqar Younis will each guide one of the five teams under three-year contracts.

This initiative is aimed at bolstering the domestic cricket framework and infusing it with their vast experience.

Their debut assignment will be the Champions One-Day Cup, scheduled to run from 12 to 29 September at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad.

This event, part of the PCB Domestic Cricket Season 2024-25, represents a notable return of high-calibre cricket to Faisalabad after a two-year absence.
