Just Weeks After Denying Health Rumors

The shocking news comes shortly after his wife Sky had dismissed rumours that the WWE legend was in a coma. Despite recent surgeries — including a neck procedure in May — she insisted his heart was “strong.” While some reports had hinted he was on his deathbed, those close to him said he was simply recovering.

Hulkamania Forever

Born Terry Bollea, Hogan wasn’t just a wrestler — he was a global phenomenon. From the moment he slammed the Iron Sheik in 1984 to win the World Title, Hulkamania took over. With his yellow gear, trademark moustache, and electric charisma, Hogan redefined sports entertainment.

In 1996, he shocked the world again by turning heel and founding the iconic New World Order (NWO) as “Hollywood Hogan,” changing the game all over again.

He shared the ring with legends — from slamming Andre the Giant at WrestleMania III to going toe-to-toe with The Rock in an epic WrestleMania X8 showdown. His feuds with Randy Savage and The Ultimate Warrior are etched in wrestling history.

Inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005, Hogan faced controversy in 2015 when a racist rant surfaced. Though removed from the Hall, he won a lawsuit and returned in 2020, this time as part of the NWO faction.

Beyond the Ring: A Pop Culture Powerhouse

Hogan also flexed his star power in Hollywood — from playing Thunderlips in Rocky III to starring in Mr. Nanny and Suburban Commando. He later brought his life to reality TV with Hogan Knows Best, giving fans a peek into the man behind the legend.

Despite enduring countless surgeries — he once joked he had “no original body parts left” — Hogan stayed in the limelight. Just this year, he launched a new wrestling league, Real American Freestyle, with its first event scheduled for August 30.

He even grabbed headlines at the 2024 Republican National Convention, reminding the world he could still bring the energy and drama wherever he went.

The Immortal Hulk Hogan may be gone, but the legacy of Hulkamania lives on — loud, proud, and larger than life.
