Pakistan Unveils XI for 2nd Test: Kashif Ali Set to Debut

-

The second Test between Pakistan and the West Indies is set to unfold on a spin-friendly surface, with both teams aware of the challenges ahead. Pakistan will stick to their strategy of preparing turning pitches, while the West Indies will rely on their preparation and adaptability to counter the conditions.

The Pakistan cricket team has unveiled its playing XI for the second Test against the West Indies, scheduled to begin on January 25.

Under Shan Masood’s captaincy, the team has opted to include fast bowler Kashif Ali, who is set to make his Test debut, replacing Khurram Shahzad, Pakistan’s sole pacer in the opening Test.

Leading the series 1-0, Pakistan is eyeing a clean sweep in the two-match series. In the first Test, spinners Sajid Khan, Noman Ali, and Abrar Ahmed outclassed the West Indies in Multan’s spin-friendly conditions. Meanwhile, West Indies bowler Jomel Warrican was their standout performer, claiming an impressive 10-wicket haul.
