Pakistan – Decline Across All Formats in ICC Annual Rankings

The Pakistan cricket team saw a decline across formats in the latest ICC annual rankings update. Australia held onto their top spot in Test rankings, with England making a big jump past India and South Africa after dominating three of their last four series. New Zealand remained fifth, with Sri Lanka, Pakistan, West Indies, Bangladesh, and Zimbabwe following suit in the top 10.

India cemented their No. 1 position in ODIs after their Champions Trophy 2025 win, while New Zealand soared to second, overtaking Australia. Sri Lanka made a major leap to fourth, surpassing Pakistan and South Africa, now ranked fifth and sixth.

Afghanistan jumped to seventh in ODIs, while England dropped to eighth. West Indies climbed to ninth, pushing Bangladesh to tenth.

In T20Is, India, the reigning World Cup champions, held onto their No. 1 spot, with Australia close behind. England remained third, while Pakistan tumbled to eighth after a 1-4 loss to New Zealand. Sri Lanka overtook Pakistan to land at seventh, with Bangladesh and Afghanistan finishing the bottom spots.
