The BCCI isn’t too thrilled about heading to Dhaka for the upcoming Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting and has officially asked for a venue change.
According to Indian media, the board sent a letter saying the current political scene in Bangladesh makes it tricky for the Indian delegation to attend. If things don’t shift, India might just sit this one out.
Earlier too, India postponed a series with Bangladesh, blaming political tensions and government advice.
For the Asia Cup, India has suggested three UAE spots — Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah — but they’re still waiting on the green light.
As of now, the ACC meeting is set for July 24 in Dhaka under Mohsin Naqvi’s chairmanship — but thanks to India’s “Dhaka nahi jaungi” mood, plans might just take a detour.
