Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi commended the national cricket team for their outstanding performance in winning the third Test and clinching the series 2-1 against England. He noted that the players delivered their best game, with Sajid Khan and Noman Ali showcasing exceptional bowling skills, while Saud Shakeel contributed significantly with a brilliant century.
Former and current Pakistan cricketers also showered praise on the Green Shirts following their impressive victory. The national side took charge of the series after gaining a solid first-innings lead of 77 on a pitch where spinners excelled.
Ex-all-rounder Shahid Afridi lauded the collective team effort. He started his message with “Pakistan, You absolute beauty” and declared that “Pakistan cricket is back in full force.”
Former captain Mohammad Hafeez credited the new selectors for “turning the tables” against England and making strong decisions, emphasizing the vital role of domestic cricket in producing top performers.
Hasan Ali specially praised the spinners who picked 39 wickets in last two tests .
Star pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi, who is currently resting, also congratulated the team and particularly recognized the contributions of head selector Aaqib Javed.
