King Is King – Babar Azam’s Bat Honored at MCG’s Long Room

-

The bat that drove Pakistan to the 2022 T20 World Cup final has now found its place among cricket’s greatest artifacts in the iconic Long Room at Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam received this prestigious recognition, with his World Cup bat proudly displayed alongside legendary bats from icons like Don Bradman, Jack Hobbs, Brian Lara, and David Boon.

MCG officials reached out to Babar for this contribution, a request he was honored to fulfill.

Reflecting on this achievement, Babar shared, “It’s a privilege to have my bat in the Long Room. The MCG holds many cherished memories for me as one of the world’s finest grounds, and I’m grateful to see my bat displayed alongside the legends of cricket.”
