According to details, after scoring a half-century in the second ODI against South Africa, Babar Azam broke Dhoni’s record. Babar Azam has now become the player with the most half-centuries in all formats against SENA countries (South Africa, England, New Zealand, and Australia).

Babar Azam has scored 39 half-centuries so far against SENA countries. Previously, this record was held by India’s former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who scored 38 half-centuries in all formats against South Africa, England, New Zealand, and Australia during his career.

It is worth mentioning that Pakistan defeated South Africa by 81 runs in the second match of the ODI series played in Cape Town, taking a decisive 2-0 lead in the series.

Invited by South Africa, Pakistan’s team was all out for 329 runs in 49.5 overs. Babar Azam scored 73, captain Mohammad Rizwan made 80, and Kamran Ghulam scored 63 runs to shine for Pakistan.

In pursuit of Pakistan’s target of 330 runs, the South African team was bowled out for 248 runs.
