Bangladesh’s pacers Hasan Mahmud and Nahid Rana dismantled Pakistan’s batting lineup on the fourth day of the second Test in Rawalpindi, dismissing the hosts for 172.
Hasan took 5-43, while Nahid claimed 4-44, leaving Bangladesh with a target of 185 runs to sweep the two-match series 2-0.
Pakistan’s innings saw a brief fightback from Salman Agha, who top-scored with 47, and Mohammad Rizwan, who added 43 runs. However, consistent breakthroughs from Bangladesh’s bowlers ensured that Pakistan couldn’t build any substantial partnerships, collapsing under pressure.
In response, Bangladesh openers Zakir Hasan and Shadman Islam took their team to 37-0 at Tea, with Zakir unbeaten on 27. Bangladesh now needs just 148 more runs to secure their first series win over Pakistan and complete a historic 2-0 whitewash.
