Babar currently holds the third position in the list of players with the most runs in the shortest format of the game.
Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, is on the brink of reaching another significant milestone in T20I cricket, poised to surpass India’s Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. With 3,823 runs currently, he holds the third position in the list of players with the most runs in this format.

This month, Pakistan is scheduled to play seven T20Is against Ireland and England, presenting a prime opportunity for Babar to surpass the Indian duo. Babar needs just 151 runs to match Sharma’s total, while 215 runs will propel him past Kohli.
The Pakistan team departed for Dublin, Ireland, earlier today from Lahore via Dubai. Their itinerary includes three T20Is in Ireland, followed by four in England, before heading to the United States for the T20 World Cup.
The initial 18-player squad for Ireland and England T20Is will be trimmed to 15 players for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 after the first T20I against England on May 22.
