Pakistan’s Muhammad Asim Khan has made history by winning his first World Tour title at the 2024 Charlottesville Open Squash Championship.
Asim triumphed over top-seeded English player Nick Wall in a gripping 65-minute final held in Virginia, USA.
After losing the first game 12-14, Asim mounted an impressive comeback, winning the next three games 12-10, 11-5, and 11-6 to secure a thrilling 3-1 victory. This achievement marks a significant milestone for Pakistan as it represents Asim’s debut World Tour championship.
The Charlottesville Open, featuring a prize pool of $28,750, was a pivotal moment in Asim Khan’s career. His victory also earned him 500 ranking points, which will enhance his global standing.
