The soon-to-be-released series, College Gate, appears to be a refreshing change from the norm.

The new show, College Gate, is a coming-of-age drama that is set to premiere on Green Entertainment on April 28. It appears to be a refreshing change from the typical family dramas in Pakistan television as it doesn’t involve any saas-bahu conflicts. This is definitely a plus!

Green Entertainment’s upcoming drama series “College Gate,” a coming-of-age drama set in a private college, is intended to break the mold. Unlike usual romantic and family dramas, this show will revolve around a group of young friends from various backgrounds. The show is directed by Fahim Burney, written by Ateeq Inayat and Ali Sikandar, and executive produced by Fasih Ur Rehman. It is produced by A & F Productions and Multiverse Entertainment. The series’ trailer was recently uploaded on YouTube and has certainly grabbed viewers’ interest.

The College Gate trailer begins with a nostalgic voiceover extolling the virtues of the years spent inside the college gate, which are commonly referred to as the ‘golden days’. The trailer then shows a group of pals having the fun of their life on their beautiful college campus. However, when adults emerge, including an old guy who appears to be in a position of authority, demanding a student to “get out” while the latter is practically begging for pardon on his knees, the caravan takes a drastic turn. A succession of scenes reflects parental pressure and stress on the young characters, who strive to deal with the assistance of their pals.

Each member of the friend group is revealed to have a distinct family history and set of problems. Despite this, they stick by each together through thick and thin, having fun in college by dancing, laughing, singing, and playing.

“In a world full of conformity, a group of college students chooses to walk the road less traveled; in hopes of discovering themselves and chasing dreams,” Green Entertainment said of the show. “How will social norms and general family dynamics obstruct them?” Zarrar Khan, Natalia Castillo Shahid, Khaqan Shahnawaz, Hina Chaudhry, Mamia Shajaffar, Shuja Asad, Washma Fatima, Nouman Kahout, and Asad Chaudhry star in the drama. Along with these new stars, the show will feature well-known actors such as Javed Sheikh, Saba Hameed, and Nadia Hussain. Fahim Burney directs the drama, which is produced by A & F Productions in collaboration with Multiverse Entertainment. Ateeq Inayat and Ali Sikandar wrote it, while Fasih Ur Rehman is the executive producer. The show will air on Green Entertainment, which will debut on April 28th.
