During the show, Kapil jokingly asked Atlee, “Sir, you’ve become such a renowned producer and director at a young age. Has a star ever met you and doubted you were Atlee, asking, ‘Where is Atlee?’” This remark led to allegations of mocking Atlee’s appearance.
A social media user shared the clip, accusing Kapil of subtle mockery while praising Atlee’s response: “Don’t judge by appearances; judge by the heart.”
In response, Kapil retweeted the post, saying, “Dear Sir, could you clarify where in this video I commented on his appearance? Please refrain from spreading hate on social media. Watch the clip yourselves and decide—don’t follow others’ opinions blindly.”
The controversy has divided the internet. While some continued to criticize Kapil, others defended him, arguing his remarks only referred to Atlee’s youth.
