After a six-year of break , CID, India’s beloved crime drama, is gearing up for a highly anticipated return to television. Fans are buzzing with excitement as the iconic series, known for its gripping cases and unforgettable characters, prepares to air once again.

The makers of CID recently shared a teaser video on Instagram, offering fans a sneak peek of the shoot. The recording officially began on November 22 with a Muhurat Puja, attended by the cast and crew.

The show will return to Sony Entertainment Television, the same channel where it originally aired until its abrupt end six years ago. Fans are thrilled by the revival and eagerly awaiting the new season.

The upcoming episodes will bring back the original cast, including Shivaji Satam as ACP Pradyuman and Aditya Srivastava as Inspector Abhijeet, who will reprise their iconic roles.

While the release date for the first episode remains under wraps, the premiere is expected around Christmas 2024. A teaser released on October 25 further fueled excitement, showing a gripping moment where Inspector Abhijeet fires a shot at Daya, leaving fans on the edge of their seats.

Originally airing from 1998 to 2018, CID became a massive hit, only to be suddenly halted due to disagreements between the channel and the director. Since its abrupt end, fans have eagerly awaited its return, and the announcement of its revival has reignited that excitement.
