Danish Taimoor has landed in hot water after casually referencing men’s right to four marriages during a live Ramazan transmission. His remark, made in the presence of his wife, Ayeza Khan, and co-host Rabia Anam, quickly triggered online backlash.
During the show, Taimoor joked, “Men are allowed four marriages, but I haven’t done it yet—that’s another story.” He followed up by saying, “I won’t do it because I love and respect my wife, but the right is still there.”
The comment didn’t sit well with many viewers, who found it unnecessary and insensitive. Social media erupted with criticism, with many pointing out that while Islam permits multiple marriages, it comes with strict conditions that are often overlooked.
“Why even bring this up on live TV, especially in front of your wife?” one user questioned, while another remarked, “Men remember their right to four marriages but forget the responsibilities that come with it.”
Taimoor has yet to respond to the backlash, but the debate continues. Many believe public figures should be more mindful of their words, especially on sensitive topics.
