Romanian musicians Diana Jipa and Ștefan Doniga are on track to break the Guinness World Record for the fastest musicians to perform on all seven continents. Their ‘Road to Freedom Tour’ will culminate with a concert in Antarctica on December 14, surpassing the previous record set by Metallica in 2013, and completing their journey in under 100 days.

The accomplished violinist and pianist will perform at the Julio Escuerdo Research Base in Antarctica, making them the fastest duo to tour all seven continents. Their world tour has already taken them to Brussels, Pretoria, Cebu, Auckland, New York, and Lima.
“We dedicate this Guinness World Record to Romanian culture and its universal value,” Doniga said. “Through our efforts, we aim to show that Romanian music can inspire greatness, and with passion, determination, and hard work, anything is possible.”
Beyond the record attempt, the ‘Road to Freedom’ tour is designed to inspire young Romanian musicians to pursue their dreams and embrace their national heritage. The final concert will feature Romanian music to honor the 35th anniversary of the December 1989 Revolution.
Jipa and Doniga, two of Romania’s most celebrated musicians, have performed nearly 600 concerts across more than 30 countries. Their ‘Road to Freedom’ initiative is the first Romanian music project to be officially recognized by Guinness World Records.
