Hans Raj Hans Praises Pakistan’s Rich Cultural and Spiritual Heritage

-

Renowned Indian Punjabi singer Hans Raj Hans has shared his deep admiration for Pakistan, highlighting its unique cultural and spiritual legacy. In a recent interview during his UK performance, Hans praised the country’s unparalleled richness in Sufism and art, sparking widespread reactions online.

In a heartfelt tribute, the singer referred to Lahore as his “second home” and expressed a strong desire to visit more often, enjoy meals with friends, and experience the warmth of the city. However, he lamented that political tensions and borders prevent such visits, leaving him longing for a connection he feels deeply.

His admiration for Pakistan’s spiritual and artistic richness was clear as he stated, “In terms of Sufism and art, no country surpasses Pakistan,” further strengthening the cultural ties he feels across borders.

Reflecting on his past visit to Pakistani Punjab, Hans Raj Hans emphasized the shared cultural heritage between the two sides, pointing out similarities in clothing, language, and even colloquial expressions. A particularly emotional moment for him was performing at the Wagah Border, where he felt a deep bond with both Lahore and his homeland in India.
