Plagiarism – ‘Bol Kaffara Kia Hoga’ Stolen by Bollywood Second Time

-

PakistanBollywood is facing backlash after once again being accused of stealing a popular Pakistani song. The hit track Bol Kaffara Kya Hoga from the 2018 Pakistani drama Parlour Wali Larki has been copied for the new film, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat.

The original soulful song, performed by Sehar Gul Khan and Shehbaz Fayaz Qawwal, was previously remade without permission by Indian singer Jubin Nautiyal.

The latest version features Neha Kakkar and DJ Chetas and also includes a part of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s classic song “Dulhe Ka Sehra”.

The move has sparked outrage on social media, with Pakistani users calling out the irony of Bollywood’s frequent use of Pakistani content while often taking an anti-Pakistan stance. This incident adds to a long history of intellectual property disputes between the two nations’ music industries.
