Priyanka Chopra, the Indian actor known for her work in the web series ‘Citadel’, has been cast in a new Hollywood action film titled ‘Heads of State‘ alongside renowned actors John Cena and Idris Elba. Chopra announced the news of her casting in the film, which she will be starring in, on social media.
Priyanka Chopra took to social media to announce her excitement about her new project. She shared a screenshot of a news headline announcing her casting in the film ‘Heads of State’ with John Cena and Idris Elba, along with the caption,
“On to the next 🎬🎥 Let’s gooo!!”
indicating her eagerness to begin working on the film.
According to an exclusive report by a foreign-based media outlet, the upcoming film ‘Heads of State’ will be directed by Ilya Naishuller, known for his work on the film ‘Nobody’. The screenplay for the movie has been written by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec, based on an initial draft by Harrison Query. The film will be produced by Peter Safran and John Rickard of Safran’s company, with Cena, Elba, and Marcus Viscidi serving as executive producers.
While the plot details of the movie are being kept under wraps, the action title has been described as a cross between ‘Air Force One’ and ‘Midnight Run’. The film is expected to start filming in May.
On the work front, Priyanka Chopra is currently looking forward to the release of the Russo Brothers’ web series ‘Citadel’, which is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on April 28. She also has the film ‘Love Again’, co-starring Sam Heughan and Celine Dion, in the pipeline, which is slated to be released in May. Recently, Chopra opened up about her biggest obstacle in Hollywood.
