Shah Rukh Khan’s unwavering principles and generosity once again set him apart in Bollywood. Filmmaker Ravi Chopra’s wife, Renu Chopra, has revealed that SRK refused to take any interest on the money he provided for their film’s production, despite all other investors accepting it.
In a recent interview, Renu Chopra praised SRK and recalled how he financially helped them for a film released in 2017. She disclosed that not only did SRK back the film on her request, but he also declined to accept any interest on the amount he contributed, stating that it was forbidden for him. She quoted Shah Rukh saying, “No, this is haram for me. I cannot take interest.”
She shared that Shah Rukh extended support without even reading the script of her son Abhay Chopra’s film Ittefaq, which starred Akshaye Khanna, Sidharth Malhotra, and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles.
Renu described Shah Rukh Khan as a cheerful and respectful person, adding that when it came to her son’s film, he wholeheartedly supported it and assured them of his backing.
