Veteran actress Hina Dilpazeer recently shared TV that she received the salary for only one actor despite playing 25 different roles in the ARY drama Quddusi Sahab Ki Bewah, which aired from 2012 to 2014.
In an interview on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast Excuse Me, Dilpazeer explained that she was initially hired for three or four roles, but ended up taking on more whenever the showrunners couldn’t find other actors. She was often asked to play multiple characters, which she found frustrating and testing her patience.
Dilpazeer recalled one episode where she played all the characters herself, which took two to three days to shoot. She humorously noted that she didn’t watch that episode out of fear.
She also mentioned that asking for more payment would lead to the producer’s complaints about financial difficulties.
After the show ended, the producer tried to persuade her to move to another channel, but she wasn’t interested. The show was abruptly canceled after nearly 400 episodes, leaving the cast unsure of the reason behind the sudden shutdown.
