Diljit Dosanjh has made history as the first South Asian artist to grace the cover of Billboard Magazine.
He will appear on the debut print edition of Billboard Canada, releasing in December. Known for his unique blend of Punjabi folk music with rap and hip-hop, Dosanjh’s successful Dil-Luminati tour has gained attention despite some controversy over unpaid dancers.
The magazine will feature exclusive behind-the-scenes stories from the tour, shared by his manager, Sonali Singh. Fans can look forward to four collectible covers, one of which will be a surprise, along with limited signed copies available in multiple languages.
At a recent sold-out show at the O2 Arena in London, Dosanjh announced that pre-orders for the magazine are now open.
This cover adds to his list of achievements, including being the first Punjabi artist to perform at Coachella and debuting on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Originating from a small village in Punjab, Dosanjh blends modern and traditional styles in his music.
His collaborations with international stars like Ed Sheeran and Sia highlight his global influence, including a memorable moment where he got Ed Sheeran to sing in Punjabi.
