Salman Khan a ‘Goon’, Family ‘Vindictive’ — Dabangg Director Explodes

-

indian filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap, who directed Salman Khan’s 2010 blockbuster Dabangg, has once again lashed out at the superstar and his family.

Abhinav branded Salman a “goon” and accused the Khan family of being “vindictive”.

Kashyap’s fallout with the Khans began soon after Dabangg’s release. He claims that when he refused to direct Dabangg 2, the family deliberately tried to derail his career.

Speaking to Screen on the 15th anniversary of Dabangg, Abhinav said Salman is not serious about acting:

“For 25 years, he has shown no real interest in his craft. He just turns up on set because it’s convenient. He loves fame and power, not acting. He’s rude, arrogant, and yes—a goon.”

Abhinav also dragged in his brother, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, recalling how he too faced hurdles during Tere Naam (2003) because of Salman and producer Boney Kapoor.

According to Abhinav, Anurag even walked away from the project without due credit despite writing the script.

The director further accused Salman of creating Bollywood’s “toxic star system”:

“The Khans have ruled the industry for 50 years. They’re vengeful and controlling—if you don’t side with them, they go against you.”

Apart from films, Abhinav has also directed TV serials and acted in projects like Paanch, Yuva, and Iqbal.

This is not the first public clash between Abhinav and Salman, but the timing—Dabangg’s 15-year milestone—has made his explosive remarks even more sensational.
