In a significant breakthrough for Pakistan’s music industry, pop icon Ali Zafar has launched the country’s first AI-generated music video, blending technology and creativity in a novel way.
The video, titled “Rang Rasiya,” has garnered widespread acclaim on social media for its innovative use of artificial intelligence in visual storytelling.
Featuring the song performed by Nirmala, a talented young singer from Umerkot, Tharparkar, it vividly portrays her journey from a remote desert region to prominence in Pakistani music, despite numerous challenges.

Zafar shared the project’s backstory, revealing that he discovered Nirmala through a WhatsApp demo sent by Pakistani socialite Mian Yousuf Salahuddin.
He praised Nirmala’s voice and determination, which inspired him to support her by recording, producing, and releasing her song.
Reflecting on his early interest in digital art, Zafar noted that while AI introduced new challenges, it also opened exciting possibilities for artistic exploration.
