Bollywood power couple Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have filed a legal case against Google and YouTube, citing severe damage to their reputation caused by AI-generated deepfake and fake videos.
According to Indian media reports, the couple approached the New Delhi High Court, claiming that these videos misuse their faces and voices, violating their personal and creative rights. They submitted hundreds of links and screenshots as evidence to prove the content is misleading and fake.
The actors are seeking a permanent ban on these videos and damages worth approximately ₹4 crore. During the hearing, the Delhi High Court asked Google’s lawyers for a written response and adjourned the next hearing to January 15.
This move highlights growing concerns about AI-driven content and deepfakes targeting celebrities and public figures.
