Karachi Experiences Drizzling as Rainfall and Thunderstorms Predicted Nationwide

-

Parts of Karachi experienced drizzling and light rain on Tuesday morning as the Met Office forecasted rainfall for the city and other regions in Pakistan.

“Rainfall, accompanied by gusty winds and thunderstorms, is expected in Hyderabad and Karachi today,” stated the weather report.

Karachi saw cloudy skies and light rain in areas such as Shah Faisal Colony, Korangi, and Landhi.

The Met Office has also predicted rainfall with wind and thunderstorms in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, and Baluchistan. Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and Islamabad are also likely to experience downpours with strong winds.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a warning for potential flooding in the hill torrents of Baluchistan and South Punjab following rainfall in these hilly regions.

Jacobabad has already been flooded after heavy rains, with local authorities struggling to drain the accumulated water, according to residents.
