The City Braces for Rains as Bay of Bengal Weather System Approaches
Karachi is set to remain partly cloudy and humid over the next 24 hours, with light drizzle expected in the morning and night, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The Met Office confirmed that a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal is likely to impact Sindh between September 7 and 11, bringing moderate to heavy rainfall across the province. Karachi could also see spells of rain, with the risk of urban flooding in low-lying areas if downpours intensify.

Today, the city’s maximum temperature may hover between 31°C and 33°C, while the minimum has been recorded at 27.5°C. Humidity remains high at 78%, with sea breezes blowing at 15 km/h.
Weather experts warn that the incoming system may disrupt daily life in Karachi, including traffic, power supply, and drainage, if heavy showers hit the metropolis.
