Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC), Arif Aslam Rao, has issued a strict warning to his officers against creating TikTok videos during duty hours.
The directive, sent to DSPs and other AVLC personnel, highlighted that making and sharing videos on social media while on duty is a clear violation of police regulations.
SSP Rao emphasized that any officer or staff member caught engaging in such activities will face severe disciplinary action. The move comes after a growing trend of officers filming TikTok videos in uniform during work hours.
This follows a recent incident where a female constable, Maria Gill, was suspended for posting a TikTok video while in uniform at Gizri police station in Karachi.
The suspension was ordered by DIG South Syed Asad Raza, who underscored the importance of maintaining professionalism within the force.
