Sindh to Introduce Complimentary Shuttle Service Connecting Karachi’s Bus Terminals

-

KARACHI: Starting August 14, the Sindh government will launch a free shuttle service in Karachi to connect various points in the city with out-of-town bus terminals, according to the provincial transport minister.

Sharjeel Memon announced that the initiative is part of a strategy to alleviate traffic congestion by relocating intercity bus terminals outside Karachi. This decision comes following recommendations from the traffic police department.

The shuttle service will provide convenient connections from key locations in the city, including Cantt Station, Sagheer Shaheed Road, M.A. Jinnah Road, and Al-Karam Square, operating every 10 minutes.

The transport minister highlighted that this new service will help reduce costs for transporters by preventing large buses from entering the city. The shuttle service will be implemented through a public-private partnership model.
