Asad Qaiser Vs. Gandapur: PTI’s KP Rift Bursts into the Open

-

The power struggle within PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has gone public as senior leader Asad Qaiser confronts Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, demanding a full investigation into his controversial remarks.

Taking to social media, former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser urged the party’s central leadership to probe the CM’s recent statement.

“I demand a thorough investigation. Imran Khan’s position must be made public. We reserve the right to respond but in the current situation, such statements only damage the party and our founding leader,”

Qaiser stated.

He stressed that PTI’s entire focus should be on the release of Imran Khan and other innocent prisoners — not on internal disputes. “Fueling party divisions weakens the freedom struggle,” he warned, urging Gandapur to redirect his energy toward governance and peace in the province.

Tarakai Joins Qaiser’s Camp

PTI leader Shehram Tarakai also spoke out, backing Qaiser’s stance and demanding a probe into Gandapur’s remarks.
“The central leadership must intervene. Such statements hurt the movement for Imran Khan’s release,” he said.

Tarakai echoed the call for unity and focus, saying the party must avoid internal friction and prioritize governance and justice over political point-scoring.
