Breakthrough – Pakistan Launches PAKSAT MM1 – A New Era of Digital Connectivity

Pakistan’s first multi-mission satellite, PAKSAT MM1, has officially become operational, facilitated by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

This achievement is a major milestone in the nation’s space and digital progress. PAKSAT-MM1 is poised to transform Pakistan’s communication infrastructure, benefiting a wide range of IT sectors.

The satellite will provide services such as TV broadcasting, community internet, and tele-education, promoting local industries. It will also extend internet access to remote areas, aligning with the government’s Digital Pakistan initiative.

Additionally, Pakistan has improved by 14 positions in the United Nations E-Governance Development Index, moving up from 150 to 136 since 2022.
