Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has launched special flights to Najaf to assist pilgrims during the upcoming Ashura, which marks the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).
Known as “Operation Ashura,” the initiative began on July 5, with extra flights planned for July 7 and July 11. Return flights will start on July 20, with additional services scheduled for July 21 and July 25 to bring back pilgrims from Najaf.
The goal of “Operation Ashura” is to ensure pilgrims experience smooth travel during this important religious period.
