Triple Blow – Karachi Residents Face Water, Sewerage, and Municipal Tax Hikes

-

Karachi’s economy is under pressure as the cost of living continues to rise. Residents are bracing for another hit to their finances.

Karachi residents are facing a triple blow as water prices surge by 9%, sewerage bills rise by 14%, and a new municipal tax is introduced, all on the heels of recent electricity and gas price hikes.

The Water and Sewerage Board, led by Mayor Murtaza Wahab, approved a 23% increase in water bills, exacerbating the financial strain on citizens already struggling with soaring utility costs.

The municipal tax, now being collected through electricity bills, adds another layer of expense, as the city administration seeks to address the mounting financial demands of municipal services, further squeezing the pockets of Karachi’s residents.”

No major errors were found, but I made a minor adjustment to the sentence structure for better clarity.
