Traffic Plan Announced for 12th Rabi-ul-Awal Processions in Karachi

A traffic plan has been issued for the processions of 12th Rabi-ul-Awal in Karachi.

Two processions will take place on MA Jinnah Road, one at 2:30 PM and another at 3:00 PM tomorrow. The first procession will start from Kharadar Mosque and end at Gulzar Habib Mosque.

The second procession will begin from Memon Mosque and conclude at Aram Bagh Mosque, while the third procession will start from Memon Mosque in Kharadar and finish at Nishtar Park.

According to the traffic police, MA Jinnah Road will be closed during the processions, and the streets surrounding the route will also be blocked.

The traffic police stated that traffic from MR Kiyani Chowk will be diverted to Court Road roundabout, while traffic from Empress Market will be redirected to Zebunnisa Street.

Traffic heading towards Shahrah-e-Liaquat will be diverted from Aram Bagh Light Signal to Shaheen Complex, and vehicles coming from University Road will be directed to Kashmir Road via Jail Flyover.

Traffic heading towards People’s Roundabout will be diverted to Shahrah-e-Quaideen or Corridor 3 towards Saddar, and traffic from Guru Mandir will be redirected towards Central Jail. Vehicles from Lasbela will not be allowed onto MA Jinnah Road.

The police further mentioned that over 3,000 personnel will be deployed along the procession routes, with bomb disposal squads searching the routes, and officers will also be stationed on high-rise buildings.
