“We Poisoned Him, Then Slit His Throat”: Sons Confess to Chilling Patricide in Karachi
Karachi has been rocked by a gruesome murder that sounds more like a horror film than real life. Two brothers, Ibrahim and Afzal, have confessed to brutally murdering their own father—poisoning him with a spiked soft drink before slitting his throat and trying to chop up his body.
The victim, 60-year-old Khawar Anjum, had called his sons from Mirpurkhas to Karachi, urging them to find work. But behind the walls of their home in Federal B Area, tensions exploded. The sons claimed their father had beaten them days before the murder—what followed was pure terror.
In their shocking confession, the brothers told police they sedated their father by lacing his drink with rat poison. Once unconscious, they used a knife to slit his throat and attempted to dismember the body.
The grisly plot came to a halt when a suspicious watchman spotted them carrying a heavy sack. When questioned, the brothers lied, saying it contained items bound for Punjab. But police, suspecting something off, inspected the sack—only to discover the horrifying truth: their father’s corpse.
Police say Khawar Anjum was a faith healer who lived in a madrasa with his sons. The watchman’s statement has been recorded, and investigators are digging deeper as more twisted details surface.
The city remains in shock as this disturbing tale of betrayal and blood continues to unfold.
