A protest over prolonged power outages turned violent in North Nazimabad on Sunday, as residents confronted authorities at the K-Electric office.
Frustrated by the electricity issues, residents gathered outside the K-Electric office, and the situation quickly escalated. Protesters surrounded the building and set several parked motorcycles on fire.
According to Express News, approximately 40 to 50 young individuals participated in the demonstration, hurling stones at the K-Electric office and setting three motorcycles ablaze, resulting in significant damage.
SSP Central Zeeshan Siddiqui reported that many children and teenagers were involved, with tensions intensifying after one motorcycle was set on fire.
In response to reports of the unrest, a substantial police presence was deployed, effectively dispersing the crowd. The situation has since been brought under control.
