New centre will cater to 700 people daily and will located at Safoora Chowrangi will remain operational from 8am to 12am.
On Thursday, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) opened another ‘mega registration center’ in Karachi to make it easier for citizens to access its services in the city.
The new facility, situated at Safoora Chowrangi on University Road, will be open for 16 hours daily from 8 am to 12 am, as stated by NADRA’s Director General, Ehtasham Shahid.
The Nadra center, equipped with 20 counters, will serve 700 citizens daily, with plans to increase capacity to 1,500 by the end of 2024, as stated by the official. This marks Nadra’s 21st center in the metropolitan area.
Other government-operated centers in Karachi, listed on Nadra’s website, include facilities in Malir, VIP NRC RHO, Karachi Senior Citizen, Orangi Town, Landhi, Gulshan-e-Hadid, Soldier Bazar, Lyari, Saoodabad, Awami Markaz Sharea Faisal, Shah Faisal Colony, DHA’s Nisar Shaheed Park, Executive Clifton, Executive Shahra-e-Quaideen,
Executive Sadar Passport Office, Executive KCCI, Mega North Nazimabad, Mega DHA Karachi, Mega Siemens Chowrangi, and Ibrahim Haidree.
