Renovations for Karachi’s National Bank Stadium are in progress as preparations ramp up for the 2025 Champions Trophy.
The project is split into two phases: the first phase will be completed before the event, while the second phase will follow.
The updated design includes a new building in front of the main stadium. This structure will feature VIP boxes, media rooms, and family boxes for players.
The dressing rooms might also be relocated to this new building.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has approved the renovation of stadiums in Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi, with Rs12.80 billion allocated for these upgrades.
Construction work will pause during Pakistan and Bangladesh’s Test match in Karachi later this month and resume afterward.
The Champions Trophy will take place from February 19 to March 9 next year, with matches hosted in Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Karachi. Teams will compete in two groups: Group A (Pakistan, India, New Zealand, Bangladesh) and Group B (Australia, England, Afghanistan, South Africa).
