Mob Violence Shake’s Sargodha-26 arrested, Blasphemy Case Registered

Sargodha’s urban police detained 26 individuals for mob violence and attempting to lynch a Christian man, causing injuries and property damage.

The gravity of the situation spurred swift action, prompting law enforcement agencies to promptly register cases under the Anti-Terrorism Act and pertinent sections of the Pakistan Penal Code. Following the incident, a comprehensive assessment was conducted by the Punjab Inspector General of Police and other officials to gauge the extent of the situation’s impact.

In the aftermath, stringent security measures were implemented, with a focus on restoring peace and preventing further unrest.

The Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs intervened, emphasizing the imperative of upholding the law in addressing such incidents. Meanwhile, ongoing investigations sought to uncover the root causes and individuals responsible for the violence.
