In Bahawalpur, Punjab, a man named Sufian endured brutal torture by a group of at least five suspects who accused him of stealing a donkey cart.

The incident occurred in village 13-Soling, under the jurisdiction of Baghdadul Jadid police station.

According to police and other sources, Sufian has completely lost vision in one eye and sustained serious damage to the other eye, alongside scars from the torture across his body.

District Police Officer (DPO) Asad Sarfraz instructed a police team to arrest the perpetrators, while Sufian was admitted to the emergency ward of Bahawalpur Victoria Hospital (BVH).

The motive behind this heinous crime is believed to be a dispute over land. So far, police have apprehended one suspect, Iqrar Hussain, out of the five involved.

Efforts are underway to register a First Information Report (FIR) against the remaining suspects.
