Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, Munim Zafar Khan, spoke at the closing ceremony of the “Parho Parhao” (Educate and Teach) campaign in Bagh-e-Rizwan, Federal B Area. The event was organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Dastagir.
He highlighted that the PPP-led Sindh government has ruled Karachi and the province for 17 years, yet 7.8 million children aged 5 to 16 in Sindh lack access to education. Across Pakistan, 26.2 million children are out of school.
Munim Zafar Khan emphasized that Jamaat-e-Islami will continue the Parho Parhao campaign and expand it to other parts of Karachi. He vowed to keep fighting for essential services such as education, health, electricity, and water. He also committed to pressuring authorities to ensure citizens’ legal rights are upheld.
During the event, students with outstanding performance were awarded gifts such as stationery, school bags, and certificates. School uniforms were also distributed through a lucky draw. Munim Zafar Khan praised the event organizers and presented them with shields.
